News and Reviews

Last year, the festival received a good response from the exhibitors and festival-goers alike. While the punters enjoyed an interactive organic experience, the exhibitors took time to get to know new customers and promote Scotland's finest organic products. This year the festival aims to offer even more, with the nearby Ramshorn Theatre added as a venue dedicated entirely to non-food and drink goods including textiles, aromatherapy, skin care.

The festival's move to September will ensure more visitors find their way to the event than ever before, making both fruit market and theatre lively venues. Not only does the festival provide the finale to Organic Fortnight this year, but also coincides with Glasgow's Open Doors Days that draws along 30,000 visitors to the merchant city.

For 2008, the admission fee has been dropped and entry will be free for all. Customers can taste, browse and buy a vast range of mouth-watering organic produce from over 180 companies within the bustling ground floor market; and a packed programme of cookery demos, workshops, organic stories, debates, competitions and live music will ensure that everyone enjoys a great weekend.

Limited exhibitor stands are still available, starting from £100 for the weekend and offering a 10% discount to soil association licensees.
