Fringe Artists
Since it was introduced three years ago the festival fringe has invested around £100,000 in the arts, much of it with local artists and a significant proportion on new commissions. This has included street theatre, installations, photography, video, sculpture, music, dance and more.
We look for work that focuses on or relates in some way to food. The connection can be polemical, whimsical or however your imagination dictates. We have very limited indoor space so ideally we want work that can thrive outdoors in a festival setting. We are also looking for some acoustic or semi-acoustic bands and musicians who would be up for playing at the festival. We're particularly interested in classical, roots, world and jazz artists. As we don't have much of a budget to pay transport and accommodation costs, preference will be given to musicians from the Bristol area.
