Exhibitors - Frequently asked questions
Q. Do I have to be certified Organic to exhibit at the festival?
All products and produce sold or promoted at the festival must be certified organic unless those items are outside the bounds of organic certification and/or approved by the Soil Association. Our Sustainable & Wild area exists for wild harvested produce for which there are either no organic standards or none have been applied for.
With non organic products we will always insist that they meet the best environmental standards. For instance fish should come from an MSC certified fishery and wood should be FSC certified.
Q. Do I have to be certified by the Soil Association?
Products can be certified by any internationally recognised certification body. If in doubt, check with ACOS (the Advisory Committee on Organic Standards).
There are however, many benefits in seeking Soil Association certification as they are the UK's largest certification body (with the most recognised symbol) and they're the only certification body linked to a committed charity promoting organic food and farming. And Soil Association licensees get a 10% discount on stand fees.
Q. Can I request an up to date site plan to see what spaces are available?
Just tell us what area you're interested in and we can fax or email the relevant site plan over. We only don't put them online because in the period when they're most requested, they're constantly changing. If you see a space you want we will reserve it for you for three working days until we receive your completed booking form and deposit cheque.
Q. Can I get access to on-site broadband?
For the first time, yes. Ethnet Ltd is a leading supplier of satellite broadband services who will be able to offer all exhibitors wireless internet connection at the festival for £195. They can also supply PDQ machines for your chip n' pin solutions and offer technical support at and before the event. To find out more please contact them direct on 01763 250 418 (option Sales) or email j.liberman@ethnetuk.com
Q. Is on-site chilled storage available?
Yes, you can either book space for your own chiller van close to your stand or you can book space in our walk in chiller unit for £45 per half square meter. All details in the booking form.
Q. Can I leave my stock on my stand overnight?
Yes. See Insurance & Site Security for more details.
Q. Are water / hand washing / dish washing facilities available?
Water supplies and drainage are limited on site so you must provide containers for fresh water and waste water if needed. Don't forget to bring a sack truck or similar for transporting them across site. Hand wash and light washing-up facilities are provided but if you're preparing your own food you should supply your own. Washing up at stand pipes and water bowsers is forbidden.
Q. Will my stand have back or side walls?
All stands except Prime Sites will have back walls. Only end of row stands will have a side wall and most people prefer to remove the side wall so they can trade on two sides.
Q. Can we hang banners / fix signage?
Yes, all marquees have steel struts along the top of the vertical wall. The most suitable fixings required may vary from marquee to marquee so call Creativity if you require further advice.
